Each year Cave Spring Little League selects tournament teams to participate in tournament play that begins at the District level.  Tournament play can continue through the end of July or into August if the team is very successful.

Tournament Teams:

12U (10-12 year-olds)
Any player League Age 10,11 or 12, with amateur status, who has participated as an eligible player in 8 of the regular season games as of June 15, on a, Intermediate (50/70), Majors or Minors Division team and who meets Little League residency or school eligibility requirements may be selected to play on the Majors All-Star Team.

11U (9-11 year-olds)
Any player League Age 9, 10 or 11, with amateur status, who has participated as an eligible player in 8 of the regular season games as of June 15, on an Intermediate (50/70), Majors or Minors Division team and who meets Little League residency or school eligibility requirements may be selected to play on the 9/10/11 Year Old All-Star Team.

10U (8-10 year-olds)
Any player League Age 8, 9 or 10, with amateur status, who has participated as an eligible player in 8 of the regular season games as of June 15, on a Majors or Minors Division team and who meets Little League residency or school eligibility requirements may be selected to play on the 8/9/10 Year Old All-Star Team

The teams are based on current LEAGUE AGE (as of 8/31) according to Little League age determination dated for the 2024 Spring season.

Eligibility

All players are eligible if they have participated in at least 8 of their team's games during the regular season in which they are eligible to participate. Only Minors and Majors Division players are eligible. Additionally, players will need to be able to commit to 90% of practices and 100% of the games.  Teams cannot carry alternate players and players/coaches can only participate on one All-Star team. If you have a child interested in playing on one of our All-Star teams, please submit the All-Star application and notify your team’s Head Coach by June 2nd.

Please fill out the application completely and give completed application to your players coach or CSLL Board member. Applications can also be  emailed to [email protected]. 

NOTE: Signing of the commitment letter IN NO WAY guarantees selection to a team. All applications must be received no later than June 2nd, 2023. The player section meeting will occur on June 4th. Players that are chosen will be notified shortly thereafter. Only players that made the team will be notified.

Player Selection Process
The managers within the proper division, as defined by age requirements, select the teams. All Intermediate and Majors Managers will meet to form the 12U and 11U teams and ALL Managers (Majors and Minors) will meet to form the 10U team (there may be 10U players from the Majors division that are considered for the 10U team).

Manager Selection Process
The CSLL Board of Directors shall reserve the right to appoint all Managers and Coaches for the Tournament teams.  Any Manager in the Majors and Minors Divisions may sign a commitment form indicating their desire to manage an All-Star team. Each manager/coach interested in managing a tournament team must submit a letter requesting the same, and stating his qualifications (“qualification letter”). This letter must be given to the Division Vice President by June 4th. All Managers must be in good standing with the league at time of selection and be able to commit to 100% of the team activities.  This can range anywhere from a 2-3-week commitment through possibly the end of July for the other teams.  The coaching staff for each tournament team is comprised of one (1) Manager and a maximum of two (2) Coaches for a team.
